Together, we can build an inclusive community by unlocking the life potential of the people we serve.
Our Mission
Brighten Community Support Center, Inc. is 501C3 non-profit dedicated to respond to behavioral health needs with a commitment to compassionate, equitable, and accessible care for the Autism community, individuals with diverse disabilities across the spectrum along with migrants and refugee children and their families. These groups often encounter challenges such as acculturation, integration, and resettlement results to traumatic events and violence.
Our goals are centered on improving educational attainment, encouraging healthier lifestyles, and fostering social integration and inclusion. We emphasize the importance of cultural values and beliefs, communication differences, attitudes toward mental health, and language that align with our clients' values. We consider the cultural perspectives on mental health and work to decrease dropout rates as well as lower barriers to care for ethnic and cultural minorities and improve mental health outcomes.
Core Value
Promoting solutions to the mental health needs of migrants/refugees and their families and providing equitable services to autism community.
Our Vision
We recognize that individuals with disabilities face unique challenges that may increase their risk of mental health issues. We envision an environment where everyone has equal opportunity that allows them to be in full participation in social activities and successful vocational work.
